I’m planning to get a touch, and I don’t know if I will be missing out on some apps.

Yes, there are a few. For example, some apps which require a phone or text subscription will obviously only work with the iPhone. In addition, some apps that need a microphone, will only work with the iPhone. For example, the app Shazam, which tells you what song you are listening to by just putting the microphone up to the speaker, will not work for the iPod Touch since it has no built-in microphone. With that said, ALMOST ALL apps work with both the iPhone and iPod Touch.

I have Apple iPhone. Friend received me photos, but i can’t find them where they can be?

the iphone doesn’t support peer to peer bluetooth transfers yet.
In other words, you never got the pictures, because the iphone won’t let you.

I am thinking of buying an Apple iPhone from U.S for about Rs. 10,000. But, I think I have to unlock it to use in India, will it be good to go with this idea? I am not well acknowledged with unlocking concept. Thank you

HI, im from the US. and i have the apple iphone 3G. you didnt specify which iphone you are getting. Are you getting the first generation iphone or the second generation (3G)?
Like someone earlier said, if you unlock dont upgrade the software because the new software will lock it with AT&T (service provider) again.
Also, will you be using the data? Data is the internet, email, etc… its anything having to do with surfing the web. The iphone 3G requires a data plan in order to function properly. So if you dont want to pay for data i dont think iphone 3G would be your best choice. However, the first iphone doesnt require data. You can use all of its functions without it. But the wifi still works so wherever there is a network connection available you get free internet.
So, if you want to use your iphone for just phone, texting (SMS), apps, and ipod, then the first iphone is the best choice. But if you want internet browsing then the newer iphone(3G) is awesome.

But really, if you dont want or use the data then I would suggest the ipod touch. it has ALL of the functions of the iphone 3G, you can get free internet wherever there is a network connection. You can check your email and chat on AIM, whatever you want, and no monthly payment. But the only think it lacks is that it is not a phone, therefore, u can not make phone calls. But there are apps to text people from your ipod touch for FREE it is also MUCH THINNER and sleek.

Btw. my friend got the 2nd generation ipod touch and not the iphone and she likes it alot, because she pays nothing, still has all the wonderful apple functions and can take it with her when she needs it. its SO THIN. You can order a new one for less than what it would cost to get an unlocked iphone, and if you order from apple.com you can get an engraving in the back… sweet huh

The App Store has many cool things like a calculator, messages, voice recorders and more. But the iphone already comes with a calculator and messages, and soon (after the 3.o update) a voice recorder.
I don’t want to just use Apple’s Apps, but theirs take up space.
should this be an issue?

Unless you jailbreak your phone you can not delete or hide the pre-installed apps. They don’t take up much room but I agree they are annoying to be forced to have (thats why I jailbroke) You can keep them all on their own page and just never go there since they don’t take up much room.

Apple doesn’t make the apps. They are 3rd person creations. so no.

I dont no if it comes free but if when you first get the Apple iPhone you cant just start using interent can you? or do you have to pay for all that stuff?

I get Unlimited internet, 600 SMS messages and 500 anytime minutes.

This is £35 a month.
Which is about $60? I’m not sure.

Plus, with applications, if you mean the standard ones that are on it when you buy it, they are all free.
Some people hae Jailbroken their phone (me being one of them) and you get 3rd party applications, some of which you have ro register. This is about 10% of about over a million or so?

However, iPhone3g (2.0) is coming July 11th, with a AppStore. Not sure then.

My apple IPhone died and I need to charge it.But my aunt computer is affected with a virus, will that let my Apple iPhone be affected with virus too?

ps. I want to do is charge it but I’m dont know if there will be consquences if I charge it to an affected computer

it shouldn’t, the virus was made for your computer, not an iphone, so it shouldn’t be compatible with the iphone, so it’s fine

I’m guessing that it would since it is their property, they created it and are charging $20 for it, and is most likely patented or copyrighted, so yes it probably would be stealing by getting it for free, sorry.

yes delete all the apps from your iphone and then plug it in your itunes and let itunes install them again. if itunes did not install them then go to the iphone’s tab on the middle left. on the page that gives iphone info look for a tab that says Applications. click it and check the box that says sync all applications and then click on apply. this should work out for u
